Our Story.
My name is Elaine. I'm the founder, maker, jack-of-all-trades-er behind Bubbo Handmade.
This all started in the height of the pandemic, summer 2020, in New York City. I started making masks and selling via an Etsy store. But we kept on making! We churned out things that would help folks live more sustainably and create less waste. In came our reusable cotton rounds, reusable beeswax wraps, reusable fabric gift bags, and reusable mesh produce bags. Making things that are nice to the planet is great, but the way I make a piece must also be sustainable. I strive for zero waste design. Now, we're proudly offering upcycled clothing, ecofriendly home goods, and incredible gifts. What do they all have in common? They're handmade, they're nice to the planet, and they look good while you're using them. We hope that feels like just as much of a win-win-win to you as it does to us.
